A Note from the Author
I am Lint Mon Sonae, son of high king Will Mon Sonae and high queen Loona Mon Sonae. You probably thought that I'd start with fighting, swords, spears, and killing each other. There is just one problem with me, I do not like blood. I just detest blood. So I can't get a shot that will prevent me from getting sick unless I’m asleep. I mean, the world isn't all about killing.

Book 1: Journeying
Chapter 1: DRAGON!
1487 A.D.
Morrigeus Mus Castle
Prince’s Bedroom
Huuaaghhh... Shoooo... This story begins with a sandy-brown haired, 16 year old boy (which is me) snoring. A partially soft snore. I was asleep of course as it was nighttime. About to wake up to the sound of a very loud horn as loud as an elephant sneezing. Puuuuuuuuuuuuuuuurrrrrrrrrrrpppppppp!
“Wha!” I shouted shooting up out of bed.After I slowly realized and calmed down and realized it was only the horn I said
“Oh! Well I guess it's breakfast. And I'm talking to myself.” After that I slowly made my way to breakfast throughout the vast marble castle that I lived in.
Along the way I walked past other people just starting to realize that it was morning and snapping out of sleep.As I was walking past a door a brown haired, green-eyed, slightly fat ,15 year old boy who was my best (and loyal) friend Rash walked out of his door as I was strolling by.
“Oh! Hello! We said in unison.
“So, did you wake up uhh... Just now?” I asked
“No, I woke up at midnight.” We stared at each other.
“I had a nightmare.” ,He said
“Oh. That explains a lot.”
Then together we went to breakfast.Breakfast that particular day was bacon and eggs which was my favorite food. So I ate the delicious food in only a few minutes. After that my dad, the king asked me if I had slept well.
“Uhhh... Yeah, dad.” I said only because I was forced to. Exactly after that Rash and I retreated to the gardens. In the gardens there were thousands of varieties of flowers. As we were walking along the pathway we ran into a brown haired, red eyed, 17 year old boy who was Nit, who was bullying
a black haired, brown eyed, really beautiful 16 year old girl who was Tricia my other best friend. Nit was just a bully doing his daily routine.
“Hey Nit! Stop bullying her or else!”, I said as bravely as I could.
“Or else what?!”, He spat into my face.
“Or else I'll kick you out of the castle.”, I smiled.
Then pandemonium broke out.Nit went berserk at the end of that sentence punching all of us.
Also, Tricia got mad when Nit punched her and she smacked him so hard that Nit got a fat lip
Then Nit just disappeared, just like that, in the blink of an eye. What was weird was that when he disappeared a huge mountain shaped shadow passed over us.
Then it happened again. A huge shadow passed over us.
A fireball dropped down from the sky and missed me by 1 inch.
“Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!” we all screamed. Fireballs fell from all around smashing into the castle, the garden, also smashing very high towers.
The warning horn sounded out, arrows started flying in to the air, it was total pandemonium.It was about then that the dragon showed his face and shoved it into mine.
“H-h-hl-ll-lo-o-o...”
“Hel-l-lo, wh-h-ho ar-r-re yo-ou?” I said scared
“Letsss ccuut the talkssss, andd cutt too thee reaalizzzattionn, I'mm gooiingg tto eatt yoouu.”Then he cut me with his claw, and with some blood coming out, I fainted.
I woke up at about mid-afternoon after the battle and asked slowly.
“W-wh-hat happ-pened?”
“All the king's horses and all the king's men came to save you of course.”, Tricia laughed.
“Ha ha ha, I'm dying of laughter here. So what really happened Rash?”, I asked
“ It was kinda scary. Well. You see, the king and his army charged out of the gate at just the right time yelling which attracted the dragon for just a second so we dragged you to the bushes to hide,” He explained. “The king told us that right before he was going to stab it with a sword the dragon just evaporated.”
“So just like that?”
“Yep!”
“Guys, what about Nit?”
“After the battle he emerged from the a bush and said he just saw the dragon and hid.” Tricia said
“What if he lied?” I asked
“Nah. Where else would he be?” Rash said.
“ Where are we?” I asked
“Your bedroom, we took you here after the battle.” They both said in unison.
“See you at lunch.”, I said.
“Bye!”, They said in unison.
When they had left I looked around the room. There were so much things I remembered from my past. I was sure glad to be alive. I mean what would life be without Rash, I mean my best friend, and Tricia, they’ve been my friends for so long I can’t remember, I sighed. Life was so short but there are so many things that can happen in a lifetime aren't there? It's just, I wish I could at least have some kind of mysterious background. Like a prophecy, yeah that would be good, a prophecy. Hmmmmmmmm. I wonder if father didn't tell me something about when I was born? He's never lied to me. Well this day has been full of wonderful surprises. What if... What if... What if... Huagggggggghhhhhhhhhh... shhooooooooooooooooooooooooo...
I blinked my eyes slowly, it was morning. Pppppppppuuuuuuuuuuuuuuurrrrrrrrrrrrrrppppppppppppppppp!!!!!!It was now breakfast. I yawned loudly. Hmm. Time to go downstairs. I got up slowly walking into my bathroom to brush my teeth. After I was done I walked out back into my room, something caught my eye. It was at the window. I quickly ran over there and ripped open the curtains. I cried with joy. It was snowing. I opened my closet quickly and pulled out my sweater and ran out the door to tell Tricia and Rash the good news if they did not know.
As I went downstairs I ran into my father. “Oh! I was looking for you, perfect!” He said. “follow me.” So I followed him down the stairs past other people who were just waking up. I saw Rash and Tricia at a point and I figured that they were looking for me. I tried to call out to them but father put his hand over my mouth
.“No.” He had said. We then walked into our private breakfast room which we didn't do often.”Sit down.” He said. “Wha !” I almost had said what but was cut off.
“In a few days you will be crowned king.” He said.
“What!!!!” I finally blurted out.
Chapter 2: The field of flowers
“...and now I have to be king.” I had said “Now we can't hang out so much. Sorry guys.” “Maybe you could just say I quit?” Rash said
“My dad would get super angry.” “I'm just gonna have to be confident and try it out.” I said confidently.
“New things are very fun when you try them out for the first time. Tricia said.
“Easy for you to say.” Rash muttered.
Tricia glared at him. After we talked for a while, Rash and Tricia left, leaving me alone in my room. I can't believe dad would do something like that without talking to me? I thought. Well, like I thought before, yesterday's day had been full of surprises.“Wait, what if Nit was the...?!” I shouted coming to an idea. I quickly ran down to ask my dad if he knew where Nit was. He said that last time he saw him he was going to the gardens. I ran fast entering the snowy gardens except instead of Nit there was a dragon, not one, but two.
“Ah-!” I had started to say but was gagged and dragged into a bush before it could see me. Then I turned around to face Tricia and Rash.
“Would you be quiet! You're going to get us captured! We've been waiting here for a time to run back inside and alert your father.” Whispered Rash, “I don't even want to pique the thought of becoming a dragon's dinner, especially if it's Nit who will be experiencing extreme pain. ”
“Sssssssuurreee... I would definitely like to become a dragon's lunch, are you bonkers! You think I'm crazy walking right out there and saying “ hey! I'm the king's son!” Do you think I'm that dumb!” I whispered maybe a little too loudly.
“Oh great now they probably heard us.” Said Tricia.
Then the dragon's stuck their heads in, with huge grins on their face's.“Wh-ha' ar-re yo-o' d-doi-in' h-her-re DUM-M'HE'DS!?” Dragon #1 said.
“BBE QUIIET RUDO-LNOPH! I ASSK THHE QUIESTTTIONSS!
“Okay, jee' Creed' I forgo'.” Said the dragon who was Rudolnoph.
“I don't care. I'm still going to report this to the master.”, Said Creeda.
Apparently dragon #2 was a girl.
Then Rudolnoph picked up Rash and Tricia,and Creeda picked up me and flew off.
Whooosh! The wind blew back my hair. I sighed, then I asked Rudolnoph where we were going.
“Mr. Rudolnoph? Could you tell me where we are going?”I asked.
“No! B'cau-use i-i' yo' 'scape yo''ll blab.”, He said in a English/Western
accent. I looked down at the castle covered with snow that I might never see again, a tear rolled down my cheek, I might never see it again, then I had an idea, I had a knife in my pocket and also I only fainted if the blood was red. Dragon's blood is green, and my companion's probably have knife's too! Now I would just have to wait until the field of flowers to launch my idea. After 10-20 minutes, we started flying over a field of flowers. It was large, about the size of 3 football field. I took out my knife slowly. I was about to stab the dragon when suddenly! I heard snoring.“What th- Aaaahhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” And I fell to the ground screaming as loud as I could. Poofapoofapoof! I slowly raised my head to see something very strange. The two dragons were SNORING! Rash and Tricia slowly raised their heads to see what had happened.
“I feel really lucky right now.”, Rash nervously said.“Uh... Do any of your know how to get home?”
“I do”, a voice said
“You!”, We all cried.
Chapter 3: Meanwhile... In a cave
Three hours later...
“Report, my minions.”, The head dragon asked.
“Yess, mmy lord.” Creeda said, “Whenn wee fleew overr thee fieldd off flowerrss wee, unexxpectinggly fell aslleep.”
“Ya, the child’en got ‘way, but they’ll neva find their way home.” Rudolnoph said.
“You have failed.” The head dragon said, “Now you shall die.” He breathed a quick, powerful, burst of fire and the two dragons were quickly incinerated.
“Great. Just great.”, He said, angrily, “Now I have to find new lackeys.” After saying this, the dragon walked into a large bowl shaped arena. Dragons were fighting and brawling all over the place. There were so many wonderful killer dragons to choose from. He watched as one teared another apart, and another swallow one in one gulp. Or, maybe the one that was ripping off another’s scales, when the other dragon was still alive. Finally, she decided.
“You two!”, she barked at a maroon dragon and a dark blue one.
“Yes? My lord?”, They asked.
“Do you two think you are strong enough to become my top lieutenant?”, He asked.
“Yes.”, They said.
“Then follow me.” He motioned for them to follow her towards a wall. The dragon pulled a hidden lever, making a secret doorway appear.
“Follow me.”, He ordered. They walked into the room filled with green light. In the middle, the object that was making the green light, sat on an altar.
“Stand right there.”, She told the two, young, dragons, pointing to a spot close to the altar.
“Now, we begin. Avka maranus chovask lemes grivs kamunas! Oh, great dragon kahuna! Please grant the powers I wish to bestow among these dragons! Grant them strength! Speed! Power!!!”, She spelled. Green lights danced around the room, making images and pictures on the wall. Then they turned into green spears racing toward the two dragons, spearing right into them.
“Grrr Aaaahhhh!!!!!!!”, The dragons roared. Suddenly, they started growing, their claws getting longer. Their teeth started sharpening into dripping, poisonous, killing machines. They had been transformed into monstrosities.
“Now, you are ready.”, He said, grinning.
Chapter 4: The Quest and we fight a troll, unfortunately, not just one
Three hours earlier...
“Why, exactly, did your follow us to the field of flowers, Nit?”, I asked.
“Uh... I wanted to make sure you were safe and... Uh... And... Uh... Deliver this message to you!”, Nit nervously said.
“Riiight...”, I said.
“Yeah, so what is this, “message”?”, Tricia asked.
“That Lint needs to go to the master dragon’s cave and save our kingdom forever and that I should go with you.” Nit told us.
“What!” I exclaimed.
“... and that we should start right now.” Nit added.
Five hours later...
“Now I ask you my first question!”, The troll asked, “What is the equivalent of 3/10 into decimals?”
Maybe I should tell you about the whole troll thing. Well, after resolving any disagreeable matters or any things we had to say about what we were going to do (“If we live through this, I’m going to kill you!”, Tricia said for a reason I absolutely do not know.), we took off immediately. We were peacefully trudging through the woods and we came to a bridge. Of course, we started across, But before we got to the end a troll magically appeared and told us we needed to answer three questions before we could continue across. Okay, glad I got that cleared up. Now, where were we? Ah! I know, the first question.
“Do we really have to answer these questions?”, Rash asked.
“Unless ya want me to eat you alive.”, The troll asked.
“Uhh... Let me think... That’s it! Is it 0.3?”, I said.
“Correct! Next question. What is 12x12?” The troll said.
“144”, Tricia said.
“Rggghhh... Correct. Last question. What is the secret identity of the head dragon?”
“What! We can’t answer that! Nobody knows the head dragon’s secret identity! It’s impossible!” Rash yelled.
“Good! Now I can eat you.”, The troll said happily, “ROAR!!!” The troll made a careless swing with his club toward me. I easily ducked and rolled away. Tricia, on the other hand, raced toward the troll with a sword and gave the troll the smallest cut I have ever seen. Then Nit raced over before Tricia got squashed and swung his mace toward the club. CRACK! The sound of the club getting broken up split through the air like a vibrating bell.
“What have you done!”, The troll said in surprise.
“Well, I think we just broke your toy”, Tricia said confidently.
“See ya!”, I said as we all walked past him to the other side. And when I looked back, he was still looking in surprise at his club, broken and splintered.
“Where in the world did you get a club like that, Nit!”, Rash asked Nit.
“My... Uh... Father gave it to me... Uh... When I was. Um. Five.” Nit nervously said.
“Seriously. FIVE!”, I said.
A few hours later...
Great. Now I was tied to a stake, UPSIDE DOWN, in front of a whole army of trolls. And one of them appeared to be the one who asked us three questions.
“I told you we shouldn’t have taken that path.”, I said
BEWARE TROLLS! Why in the world didn’t you listen to me!!” Tricia shrieked beside me at Rash.
“Well I wasn’t the one who suggested that we take the one that said BEWARE LIVE DREAMS! Well, Actually, that might have been kinda nice.” Rash argued.
“SHUT YOUR MOUTH AND BE QUIET OR I’LL TURN YOU INTO THE DINNER WE ARE HAVING TONIGHT!!!!” One of the trolls screamed.
“You probably will, sooner or later.”, Nit mumbled.
“What was that I heard!!”, The same troll yelled.
While all the others were bickering over there I was trying to untie the ropes behind my back and I have to say, I was almost out. Great, now I have two hands freed. Two feet to go. Uh, oh. this is going to be harder than I thought it would be.
Chapter 5: The valley of dreams
One hour later...
“Finally! I’ve got my feet done!”, I quietly said. But now, I was hanging with all my strength on to the stake. soon, I’d have to eventually fall down. So, I squirmed around to the back and slowly fell down. Then I went to all my friends and untied their hands and feet.
“Thanks Lint.”, They all said.“Let’s get out of here!”, Nit said.
“Hey! Where did all those tasty humans go?!”, A troll roared.
“Run!”, I yelled. We all raced off into the woods. Overhead, a tree was smashed into little tiny bits by a huge club
“That’s a big troll.”, Rash said in disbelief. “RUN!!!”, I bellowed. Before I could move another inch, a club smashed into all of us at the same time. Then, everything went black.
I opened my eyes immediately when I was awake. Looking around, I deduced that I was in some kind of plain, or a valley.
‘Where am I?’, I wondered. I realized that I could see none of my friends.
“GUYS!!”, I bellowed. The echo went on until I couldn’t hear it anymore.
“I’m right here, dude.”, I turned around and saw Rash scratching his head.
“We’re here too.”, I turned around and saw Tricia and Nit. They justed killed each other, so sad.
“Does anybody know what that bubble thing is?”, Rash asked. A strange bubble had appeared over by a few roses. I walked slowly and cautiously toward it. I looked inside and I saw a kingdom having a ceremony. There was a boy standing on a platform. he was being crowned. I looked closer and I realized that the boy was me. Suddenly, a burst of fire blew towards the platform. It caught on fire. Thousands of dragons were attacking the kingdom! In minutes, the whole kingdom was aflame. The bubble disappeared right after that scene of disaster.
“Wha-what was that?!”, Rash cried.
“I’m not sure, but whatever it was it wouldn’t be good.”, I said.
Suddenly, more bubbles started to appear showing different situations and problems. One popped up right in front of me showing me getting eaten by a dragon. Then, a dragon appeared out of nowhere and flew at superfast speed toward me and, it swallowed me.
The inside of a dragon is not a fun place. It’s pink, squishy and not the place you want to be in a battle. In the span of three minutes it captured all of my teammates,
“That was pretty embarrassing.”, Tricia said.“What the heck is going on here?!”, Nit cried
“Well, we were captured by dragons and then you showed up and suddenly we were on a quest to kill a giant dragon then we were tied up and almost eaten by trolls then we-“
“That’s not what I meant!” Nit exclaimed, cutting Rash off.
“Everyone! Stop talking!” I yelled. Leaning my head against the side I could faintly here a soft sound of wings flapping.
“They’re taking us there.” I realized.
“Where?” Nit asked.
“To the dragon’s keep.”
Book Two: The battle of the Dragon’s Keep
Chapter 6: An unexpected enemy
“Report.” The head dragon ordered,
“We captured them. They are on their way as we speak.” The powered dragon answered. At that moment, The dragon that had swallowed us flew inside the Dragon’s Keep just outside the room that the two dragons were talking in. The mouth of the dragon opened and spit us out.
“That was disgusting!” Rash cried.
“ Yeah that letter told me I wouldn’t be hurt at all!” Nit said.
“What?” I said. Then Nit walked into the room.
“Hello, idiotic people.” He said.
“Okay, I got this letter that said if I pose as this guy I would get 500,000 morrisia’s and would be praised forever! I’m not the real Nit he is!” The fake Nit pointed at the Nit standing in the shadows.
“Yes, it’s all true. I tricked him into doing all this. I made up the quest and the prophecy. All to get you to me, and it worked! Oh yes, and…”, He then pulled a lever opening a hole in the floor where the fake Nit was standing, plunging him into lava. A scream and smoke rised from the ground, “I needed to dispose of him. Lower beings are so annoying.”
“What do you mean by that?” I asked.
“Why, I am not human at all!” Then he started to transform. He grew bigger and bigger and his face elongated into a snout. His fingernails turned into giant claws, he grew poisonous fangs and scales covered his body. He was a dragon.
“I am the leader of the dragon army”
“I wouldn’t care if you were a king. Everybody, attack!” I ordered
Chapter 7: The part where we win.
Or so we thought…
The fight wasn’t going well. We were getting poned. First, we tried to jump on his back and confuse him. FAIL! Then, we tried to make him fall by grabbing his legs. FAIL! Now, we were going to try to just plain attack him. That failed too.
“Retreat!” I shouted. We ran to a rocky ledge that looked like we could climb up, so we went up and started edging around the mountain. Luckily, Nit was too slow to see us move. Now, he was searching for us.
“Where are you?!” He roared.
“Whew! I was not expecting that!’ Rash said.
“Nobody was.” I said. Suddenly, the ground gave away beneath us and we fell into a dark mine. Looking around I saw that there were shining crystals all on the wall.
“We’re in a mine.” I said.
“Duh.” Rash said, “Anyone could see that!”
“Let’s go!” We started on a path that seemed endless. Eventually, we came to an opening that emitted a sound of roaring anger.
“How could you lose them!” Nit yelled.
“Actually, it was you who lost them. Sir.” A voice replied. I crept into the room and examined my surroundings. Nit was talking to a dragon lieutenant I finally knew what to do. I leaped out at them, jumping in front of Nit.
“Hey, Losers! Over here!” I yelled.
“Get him!” I jumped through Nit’s legs just as the other dragon jumped, leaving Nit bleeding very hard.
“RRRROOOOOOAAAARRRRR!!!!!!!! You are dead Lint!” Rash and Tricia joined in too leaving the other dragon and Nit fighting to the death and leading to their deaths eventually, killing them both. They were dead. Roars of pain filled the air. Since their master had died all the dragon’s started to die. And then, silence.
That was the most scariest thing I’ve ever done in my life,” Tricia said.
“Let’s go. It’s over” We walked out of the mountain toward the forest.
“It’s gonna be a long walk home” Rash said.
Suddenly, a woosh of air roared toward the center of the Keep, the ash of the dead dragons was piling up into a large mound.
“Uh, Oh.” I said. The pile caught on fire and a fiery shape rose up into what looked like a bird of fire.
“We’re not done with you yet!” It said
“Phoenix.” I murmured.
Chapter 8: The last stand
“That’s not good.” I said. We all ran toward the forest away from the phoenix but of course, it followed us to the river we were heading to (Water beats fire always). As we were crossing the troll from the forest appeared.
“Stop! To cross you have to answer my three que-! What is that!” He said, staring at the ascending phoenix.“Phoenix! Run!” The troll quickly vanished. And we ran as fast as we could across the bridge. But, we were still too slow. The phoenix started shooting fire at us, but we quickly moved out of the path of the fireballs. Finally we were at the river. The phoenix yelled “No!”. but we still jumped in we quickly swam to the other side and used some buckets by the river to splash water on him
“Stop! Stop, I com mand you! Stop!” It roared.
“No way!” We shouted.
“Grahhh!!!” It roared. It shot fire at the buckets burning them to ash.
“We’re in big trouble.” Tricia said. Then, I had an awesome idea.
“Everyone! Jump in the river!” I yelled. We then dived into the water the cold shocking us because of us being so close to burning fire. It dived in after us diminishing the phoenix. We climbed out of the water looking victorious.
“We won!” I said.
“Not quite.” A voice said.
Chapter 9: The end
“How many tim-“ I started
“I am immortal. You cannot defeat me. Even if it looks like I have died I will come back to kill you!.” Then, a figure rose out of the water. It was Nit.
“Oh, my, goodness! Really! We’ve killed you like three or four times already!” Tricia cried.
“Then we’re just going to have to kill him again!” Rash said angrily, “Attack!”
“No! He’s too strong!” I yelled, but it was too late. They rushed toward him and before they could lay a finger on him he froze them both into icicles and tossed them into the river.
“Rash! Tricia! No! I’m going to kill you you Nitwit!” I roared .
“My goodness. I’m so scared I think I might pee my pants. Not! The same thing that happened to them is going to happen to you. Then, I’m going to start a new ice age! How do you think that sounds!” He was starting to sound crazy.
“Well, my kingdom will be destroy-“ I started.
“Oh, yeah, about that.” He shot a giant ice spear that could destroy a castle at my kingdom. It hit the kingdom at full force and destroyed it in a white explosion.
“Dad! Mom! That is it! You are going down!” I rushed at him with a sword a tree bark for a shield. I blocked his freeze attack back at him but he diminished it quickly. When he wasn’t looking I took the sword and stabbed it through his stomach. But my hand was frozen onto my sword and the sword was stuck in his stomach.
“If I’m going to die I’m going to take you with me!” He yelled.
“You’ve already destroyed my kingdom and my friends. The least I can do is defeat you!” I answered. Then, Nit exploded onto me and I was frozen in the river.
Chapter 10: Epilogue
100 Years later…
I open my eyes and look around the room. There were strange people standing around me.
“Who are you!” I asked.
“We’re Shadow Knights in training on our way to the place they’ll train us in.” A particularly large one said.
“Where am I?” I asked again.
“On the ship toward the place.” Another one said.
“Who are you?” One asked. Then, a question came to my mind, Who am I?
“James Heram, at your service.” I answered.
“Do you want to join us? We need more rookies.” The large one said.
“Sure.” I answered.
