James Heram: Special 1

The Superhero who cried Werewolf

By Joseph Ellis, the creator of Book one and two of The Saga of James Heram

Part One

James Heram walked into the shadowy hall, his mind trying to comprehend what had happened. But, of course, let me explain.

October 29, 2225  4:00 A.M.

James Heram could not believe what he saw. Alex was in a fight with Sarah! And he was losing!
“That’ll teach you to switch my shampoo with grease!” Sarah roared.
“It was just a trick!” Alex was crouched down as Sarah was repeatedly punching him.
“One, it’s not Halloween yet and, TWO! I would much rather prefer treat!” Sarah yelled.
“Fine, I’ll never do it again! Stop!” Alex cried. James couldn’t help it, but he burst out laughing.
“It’s hilarious now, shut up and go beat up some bad guys!” Alex retorted.
“Oops, I almost forgot what I came here for! Look at this,” James took out a hologram projector and turned on the recording of the security cameras that he had downloaded. “This is a image of an attack on a citizen, it seemed to be some kind of animal. What’s scary is at the end.” He started the video, a citizen walked along alley and was about to open a door when suddenly a shadowy figure leaped from the roof down to the ground. Sarah and Alex agreed with James that it seemed to be some kind of animal. After that, he grabbed the man and bit his arm. The man cried out in pain then fell to the ground unconscious. Then, the figure started to walk away. After two minutes, a furry, snouted head appeared and used it’s arms to smash the camera.  When that part played, Alex and Sarah jumped about five feet into the air in fear. Actually, Sarah jumped about seventeen feet with her powers.
“W-what was that?!” Sarah stammered.
“I don’t know, but I think it was a wolf maybe,” James answered unsure if he was even close to the answers. Little did he know that he was actually half correct. “The man you see in the video is in the ER right now and he is at the moment sleeping off his injuries. The bite is strange, the doctors said that the creature that attacked him did seem to have canine teeth judging from the bite, but his eyes now are yellow like a wolf’s eyes. It’s VERY strange, I might have to visit again to see it myself.”
“You have fun with that while I go to sleep!” Alex retorted.
“Scaredy-cats! You just don’t want to go because it’s almost Halloween! Bauck! Bauck! Is that a chicken I hear?” James teased.
“No, its because I am very tired, bye!” Alex got up and left the room.
“Me too,” Sarah flew up and left as well.
“Fine, I’ll just go by myself!” He yelled after them. After waiting to see if they would come back (and they didn’t), James ran out the door and out the castle. Then, into the ER room where the man was. Except, the man wasn’t there.
